First, I want to sincerely thank you for finding me, whether through a referral, my market updates, or my efforts on social media to wittingly grab your attention as a native Lake of the Ozarks Realtor. With nearly 1,000 Realtors here, you might wonder, 'Why choose Jesse?' Let me share my story, and why I'm here talking to you today.
I was born in 1980 in St. Louis. My parents, who honeymooned here at the Lake, always dreamed of living here. Two years later, they made that dream a reality, and a year after that, my father started a heating and cooling company. From the age of 11, I spent my summers in the world of HVAC service and new construction. I graduated from Camdenton in '99 and ventured out, leaving the Lake a couple of times, but I was always drawn back. In my twenties, I returned and focused on growing the HVAC business.
In 2005, I purchased my starter home in Osage Beach. Renovating it while living there, I saw a 36% increase in value—this is where my passion for real estate began. Over the years, I built one home and bought and sold five more personally. I discovered a real love for transforming neglected properties into something special.
After thirty years in the HVAC business, I felt a pull towards real estate. I had gained invaluable skills, but my time there had come to an end.
In 2018, I obtained my Real Estate Salesperson license, and in 2024, my Broker Associate license. It was a scary decision, leaving the certainty of what I knew for the uncertainty of a new career. But my heart always goes back to helping families experience the joy of life at the Lake. We sold the heating and cooling company so I could fully pursue my passion.
I reconnected with my wife, Annie, here at the Lake. We went to kindergarten through high school together but didn’t start dating until we were 31. We married and now have three wonderful children: Garrett, Farrah, and Schaeffer. We're incredibly fortunate to share the Lake Life with them, fishing off the dock, paddleboarding, tubing, and enjoying dinners by the water.
I'm a Realtor, but that doesn't mean every personal real estate venture has been without difficulties. I've had gains and I’ve had losses. I've also expanded my knowledge into the investment real estate world through apartment buildings. All real estate transactions come with their unique challenges. I share this to emphasize that I understand the emotional rollercoaster of buying and selling homes. Moving your family is anything but emotionless.
